A1A Web Design is the Florida coast studio of AldoMedia, LLC., a Buffalo, New York web design company that has built websites since 1999. Aldo designs and hand-codes every site and works with businesses from Palm Beach County to Brevard County entirely by phone, video and email, on the same Eastern time as you.
Why a Buffalo Studio Built a Brand for the A1A Coast
The short answer is a clock, a change in how people hire, and a coastline with an unusual kind of economy.
Start with the clock. Buffalo is a long way from Jupiter Inlet, but both run on Eastern time. A 9:00 AM call in Stuart is a 9:00 AM call in our office, and a question you send at the end of your workday reaches us at the end of ours. Working with a designer three time zones away means meetings at odd hours and replies that arrive tomorrow. Working with us does not.
Then there is the way business owners hire now. Plenty of business owners already work with an accountant, a supplier or a software company they have never met in person. A website project fits that pattern well. Screen sharing makes a design review as clear as sitting at the same table, a private preview link lets you test your new site on your own phone, and email keeps a written record of every decision. What used to require a local agency now requires a good process and a reliable person on the other end of the call.
The third reason is the coast itself. Florida's tourism industry is large enough that the state's official tourism marketing body keeps a whole research department devoted to visitors (opens in a new tab), and the towns along State Road A1A feel it every season. Those same towns are also full of businesses that serve the people who live there all year: contractors, dentists, insurance agents, bakeries, boat mechanics. A website on this coast often has to work for both audiences at once, the family planning a trip from another state and the neighbor who needs a plumber this afternoon. That mix of visitor marketing and everyday local service is exactly the kind of work we have done for restaurants, travel sites and service businesses for years.
So why a separate name instead of a Florida page on the AldoMedia site? Because a business owner in Vero Beach looking for a web designer deserves pages written about their coast, their county and their customers, not a Western New York website with a palm tree added. A1A Web Design is that focus. Behind it are the same company, the same designer and the same standards, and we say so on every page, including the footer.
AldoMedia: Building Websites Since 1999
AldoMedia, LLC. (opens in a new tab) has designed websites and handled search engine optimization for businesses in Buffalo and Western New York since 1999. Over those years the web went from table layouts and dial-up modems to phones in every pocket, voice assistants and AI search tools that answer questions directly. The tools changed many times. The job did not: help a customer find a business, trust it and get in touch.
The work speaks for itself better than we can. It includes a patisserie in Kenmore, an Italian restaurant with three locations and online ordering, a permanent makeup studio in Hamburg, a roofing and siding contractor in the Pittsburgh area, a ticket marketplace, a trip planning and hotel booking site, and Virtual 3 Sixty, AldoMedia's own 360-degree virtual tour division. Every one is a live business site you can visit from our portfolio of websites built by Aldo. None of them are in Florida yet, and we will not pretend otherwise.
Along the way, Aldo built tools of his own. AldoMedia SimpleCMS is a no-database editor that lets clients change their own text, photos, galleries, PDFs and repeating cards such as staff bios or menu items, and read the messages that come in through their contact form. The AldoMedia Ultimate Website Scanner audits sites for AI readiness, SEO, accessibility, lawsuit risk, security headers, code quality and performance. We use it alongside Google Lighthouse, axe and the W3C validators whenever we review a site, yours included.
Meet Aldo, the Person Who Builds Your Site
Aldo Giammusso is the designer and developer behind both studios. When you hire A1A Web Design, Aldo is the person on your first call, the person writing your code, and the person who picks up the phone when you need a change a year after launch. There is no account manager relaying messages and no handoff after the sale.
He does not hold industry certifications and he does not claim any. What he offers instead is more than 25 years of building working websites for real businesses, a body of live work you can inspect yourself, and a habit of explaining technical choices in plain English. You can reach him every day from 6:00 AM to 11:00 PM Eastern at 716-771-2536.
What We Believe
- Honesty beats hype. We never write, buy or edit reviews, and we do not invent clients, case studies or results. The reviews quoted on our homepage are excerpts from AldoMedia's public Google reviews, and we link to the source.
- Nobody can promise you first place. Google's own hiring advice says it plainly: "No one can guarantee a #1 ranking on Google." (Google Search Central (opens in a new tab)). We promise the work, the standards and clear reporting, not a position we do not control.
- You own your website. Your domain, your content and your code belong to you. If you ever decide to move on, you take all of it with you.
- Accessibility is a standard, not an upgrade. Every site targets WCAG 2.2 Level AA (opens in a new tab) and is tested with automated tools, a keyboard and a screen reader before it goes live.
- Speed is a standard too. We test against Google's Core Web Vitals (opens in a new tab) and run Lighthouse on every page, because a visitor on a weak signal at the beach will not wait for a slow site.
- Plain English, in writing. You get a written quote before work begins and a written recap after decisions are made, so nobody has to remember what was said on a call.
How We Work Remotely
Working with a studio you never meet in person should feel easier than the alternative, not harder. Here is what that looks like in practice.
Calls on your schedule
We talk by phone or video at a time that fits around your busy hours. If it helps, you share your screen and show us what frustrates you about your current site.
Decisions in writing
After each conversation you get a short written summary of what we agreed, what happens next and what we need from you.
Reviews on a private link
You test the real site in progress on your own phone and computer, and we walk through it together on a screen share when that is quicker than email.
Photos without a site visit
Because we do not travel to you, we work from photos you send, properly licensed images credited on the page, or a local photographer you choose to hire.
Support after launch
The same person who built your site handles changes, questions and fixes, by phone or email, for as long as you want help.
What We Will Not Do
Some promises are easier to make as a list of things we refuse to do.
- Visit your business in person. We have no staff in Florida and we do not do on-site visits. Everything happens by phone, video and email.
- Pretend to be local. No virtual office address, no Florida mailing address and no map pin in a town where we do not work. Our phone number is a Buffalo number and our mailing address is in Buffalo.
- Sell you an overlay as an accessibility fix. A widget added to inaccessible code does not make the code accessible. We fix the code.
- Lock you in. We will not register your domain in our name or hold your content hostage if you leave.
- Pass off a template as custom work. Every site we build is designed and coded for the business it serves.
Plain-English tip: When you compare web designers, ask each one where they are actually located and who will build your site. A clear, specific answer is a good sign. A vague one usually means the work is passed along to someone you will never talk to.
See the Work, Then Decide
The fairest way to judge a web designer is to look at sites they actually built and then talk to them. Browse the AldoMedia portfolio, read about our web design and search services, or see the coastal counties we serve. If you already know what you need, start with custom website design or a local SEO review of the site you have now.
